Introduction: |
Qimen Mao Feng is a variety of Keemun Tea, where Mao Feng means Fur Peak, which is made of only slightly twisted leaf buds and is sometimes noted for a smoother and more delicate flavor. The premium Qimen Mao Feng made of tealeaves harvested around Qingming (5th April) is curly and thin, and is dotted with golden tips. It smells a bit like spice. It was smooth, with no acidity, and sweet. It has a toasty, slightly fruity flavor, with a bit of a chocolate background. It is very smooth on the tongue. |
