Introduction:

Long Jing Tea (Dragon Well Tea) is one of the most famous green teas in China. Complex and multi-layered with the irresistible combination of warm and creamy mouthfeel, hazel nut notes and searingly spring-freshness. The traditional method of making Dragon Well is what really sets it apart. Each individual tea bud is hand-pressed and shaped in a wok to achieve the perfect level of roasting.

The tea growing region of West Lake consists of 168 square kilometers of designated area. There are several famous production areas of Xihu Longjing in Xi Hu such as Shi Feng(狮峰), Mei Jia Wu(梅家坞), Weng Jia Shan(翁家山), and Long Wu(龙坞). Among them, the most famous one is Shi Feng, followed by Mei Jia Wu. Although Shi Feng Long Jing and Mei Jia Wu Longjing are seen as the best ones of Xihu Long Jing, Their extremely high prices make common people unabel to take it as a casual daily drinking tea. The Xihu Longjing Tea was harvested and made in Long Wu. Among the production area of Xihu Longjing, Long Wu now has the biggest annual yield which also contributes to its lower prices.
