Introduction:

Long Jing tea is unquestionably the most famous in China, with a history that began 1200 years ago. Xihu Long Jing tea, grown alongside the scenic West Lake near Hangzhou, being the most sought after by many enthusiasts of premium tea; both in China and the West. The tea has a long and mysterious history and was reputed to be a great favourite of Chairman Mao Zedong.

The Meijiawu Longjing Tea was harvested and made in MeiJiaWu, one of the most famous producing areas of authentic Xihu Longjing. It was produced from the very tender first spring shoots around 15th, Mar each year (approximately) before Qing Ming (Pure Brightness). Pre-Qing Ming Long Jing teas offer a subtler and grassier high-quality finish than mainstream Long Jing teas picked later in the season.

Due to the high price of the Pre-Ming Meijiawu Longjing, we only source limited quantities each year. You'd better order it before 5th April to ensure you can get it if you want.
